DUDE. Yes! But then my 6 year old sister went to a Hannah Montana party and brought back a microphone [fake sparkly!]

Now I use that

Secretly of course.

I'll get thumps down for this, BUT

I hate pie.Do you ever use your hair brush as a microphone and dance around?

Why don't you send me virtual pies? Thanks!

*cyber hugs you* haha
I sometimes do that. It's fun to let your weirdness out for a while. I love being a weirdo. (not bad weirdo) The kind that does dance with a hairbrush. I like Apple pie, by the way. :)
i did but i smacked into the wall and my neighbor saw me xD

What is the best hair brush type for long hair? what is the pro and con for using bore bristle or sinthetic?

I'm considering buying a high end brush. I want to both detangle my hair curl it under at the bottom and smoth it. would be open to sugestions of multiple brushes for differrent tasks. What is the best hair brush type for long hair? what is the pro and con for using bore bristle or sinthetic?
To detangle your hair, I would suggest a paddle brush. Paddle brushes won't smooth your hair, just like a smoothing brush won't detangle your hair. You can use a round boar bristle brush to get it to curl under.

Boar bristle brushes are made from a boar's hair, which means they are more gentle and don't damage your hair like a plastic or metal brush. Hair can't damage hair. They are also good at smoothing hair and distributing oil from your scalp to the rest of your hair. Look for a boar bristle brush with the bristles slightly stiff and tipped white. This denotes a quality brush. Using a brush like this will help smooth straight hair.

I hope this helps. :)What is the best hair brush type for long hair? what is the pro and con for using bore bristle or sinthetic?
if you are black, I can't help, if you have hair like a white person, I recommend a rounded plastic bristle brush.......they make really cheap stylers too.
100% NATURAL BRISTLE BRUSHES
I , personally, don't care for 'natural' brushes. Only because my hair is sooooo thick. Its length is to the middle of my back, and its curly and thick. I just bought a scunci brush, that seems to be working well. My favorite, that I had for about 12 years, was a Goody, precious metals, but I am happy with this one. Good luck, long hair needs special attention
A paddle brush without the harsh bristles
you need a pinewood round curling brush - it is made of heat resistant nylon and is perfect for detangling. the round shape also makes it great for those soft curls.
well it depends on your hair and ethnic preferences

Can you take a full sized hair brush on a plane?

My grandma told me that you can take pretty much all hygedic products on a plane as long as they are minicure. Except tooth brush and tooth paste, they dont have to be minicure. But she forgot to tell me about hair brushes.....help?Can you take a full sized hair brush on a plane?
i usually take my hairbrush on the plane with em

they are really strict about liquids. If your not sure about anything look it up on googleCan you take a full sized hair brush on a plane?
nope you can't take it because they won't let me take it
that is totally fine. As long as the liquids are 3 oz or less (for carry-on), you will be fine.

What is ';full head of charged white hair brushed back'; ?

I'm a student of English translation. It is a part of a novel. What is ';full head of charged white hair brushed back'; ?
Full head, means the whole head is covered with lots of hair

Charged white means bright white

brushed back is when you take a brush and brush from the front to back of your head, making it kind of ';big'; on top. What is ';full head of charged white hair brushed back'; ?
';Full head of hair'; = lots of hair on the head

';Charge white hair'; = the hair is sticking out, fluffy,as though charged with electricity

';brushed back'; = the fluffy hair is all flowing to the back of the head.

I think of the pictures of Einstein in his later years when I read this, if that picture helps.

  • How do you wash a hair brush?

    Looks something like this:

    http://paynesbeautysupply-salon.stores.yahoo.net/10boexfrwabr.html

Looks like it has dandruff in it possibly? How do you wash a hair brush?
Put shampoo in it and run it under warm water. How do you wash a hair brush?
Bristle hair brush can go in the microwave for (600W) about 1 minute.

This will sterile it for you.

If the case is severe you my want to repeat the process AFTER the brush cools down, probably 5 minutes.

If your brush is very dear to you, you might want to reduce the time and increase the frequency in the microwave.

    I hope it helps!

    Best wishes!

Comb the hairs out with a regular comb.

Soak the brush in a sink of water with shampoo in it.

Rinse the brush and comb it out again. Shake it dry.
put it in a sink of hot soapy water and leave it to soak, then take it out, run it under hot water and the dandruff or whatever should go... or just buy a new brush!
a comb -- and a what the person above me said -- GET A NEW BRUSH -- dandruff in ur brush? ehh..EW! gross get a new brush! u'll ruin ur hair!
    Put it in the dishwasher.

It's the easiest way and it works.
i just rinse it with water and brush out the other hairs with a comb

How do I style my hair brushed/combed upwards?

    NOT spiked

The same one as the guy from Public Enemies

The guy that declared America's first war on crime, I think hes the commissioner.

His hair was all brushed/combed upwards

What hair treatment do I need to style my hair like that. So i wont have to use gel every dayHow do I style my hair brushed/combed upwards?
I haven't seen the movie so I do not know what kind of style you are talking about.

If you are talking about something like this.

    http://www.foxnews.com/images/242403/0_6鈥?/a>

It is the cut and the products used. Mostly jel or wax.

If you have a picture a movie clip for a reference, I can give you a better answer. How do I style my hair brushed/combed upwards?
I haven't seen the movie, but it sounds like a short to medium pomp(pompador) style.

    http://h.imagehost.org/0713/Haircut_Char鈥?/a>

The short pomp styles are of course: crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut. It would depend on how long of a pomp style the guy in Public Enemies wore. A crew cut is fairly quick and easy.

    http://i.imagehost.org/0627/70735ed866cf鈥?/a>

    http://i.imagehost.org/0663/shortpompdd6鈥?/a>

Grooming any of the short pomp styles- crew cut, ivy league, flat top crew cut- is basically the same and takes about a minute or two.

    1) Towel dry hair.

    2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.

    3)Transfer wax to palms.

    4) Smooth palms over hair.

5)Brush hair off forehead to form short pomp front.

IMight also take a look at the short, medium and celebrity galleries at th haircuts for men site. Whichever style you decide on, be sure to take a photo to help describe the desired haircut to the barber or stylist.

    ivy league(long crew cut):

    http://h.imagehost.org/0168/Kid_with_a_C鈥?/a>

    http://a.imagehost.org/0785/Ivy_League_B鈥?/a>

Some barbers describe an ivy league as a crew cut just long enough to be parted and combed to the side if so desired. An ivy league can also be worn with the hair brushed up off the forehead to form the short pomp front or with the short bangs brushed down on the forehead like a forward brush cut.

Will takeing a wet hair brush and combing top part of hair get serum out?

I put WAY too much on, and was wondering if a hairbrush that was wet will brush serum out...Will takeing a wet hair brush and combing top part of hair get serum out?
Why don't you just wash your hair? Will takeing a wet hair brush and combing top part of hair get serum out?
yeah it will probablyh just make it more greasy. wash it.
As i said on the other answer... a comb (preferably a wide tooth one) should get it out... I'm sure a brush will work too...
    Hahah been there, done that!

Just get it a little damp, then comb it through with a brush :)
a wet brush may help, but the most effective way would probably be to wash your hair again, even if you just did wash it; your hair will be back to normal in no time

I am getting an american girl doll with wavy blond hair. On her hair do i use a hair pick or a hair brush?

I really dont know wich to use can somone help please.I am getting an american girl doll with wavy blond hair. On her hair do i use a hair pick or a hair brush?
I have had an American Girl for several years now, as has my sister. I got Kit, and she got Samantha. We both used wire brushes, and Kit's hair is just like when I got her. However, Samantha's hair has frizzed out and lost most of it's curl. They sell wire hair picks for dolls with wavy hair. If I were you, I would use the pick. Just pick through her hair lightly, then brush the top part, and her hair will stay good as new!I am getting an american girl doll with wavy blond hair. On her hair do i use a hair pick or a hair brush?
I would suggest the brush. Brush gently in small sections. You can buy the brush from AG, but I use the wig-wire brushes available at any WalMart/Drugstore.
you can buy hair brushes for your american girl doll... I have one, and thats the one I use

  • What's the best way to clean a hair brush?

I know it's kind of disgusting, but I need to clean my hair brush. What's the best way to get all that hair off?

(Sad, but this is a serious question). What's the best way to clean a hair brush?
Use a comb to remove the hair, and your shampoo to clean the oils out.

Your hair will stay cleaner if you do this once a month. What's the best way to clean a hair brush?
typically, I take a pair of scissors to the hair tangled in my comb. after i've cut the hair in a few places, I use a stick of some sort to pull the hair out. then i put the plug in the sink and put in BOILING hot water (CAUTION*****) and I leave the comb in the boiling water, until the water cools down. then I pick out the stray hairs, and it's ready to go. Some people don't remember to rinse it out so that danderuff comes out of the comb! good luck!
Sally's beauty Supply (on line even) Carry's a product that stylist use to sanitize and clean the hair from the brush. It just eats the hair right out of the brush. Anyone there can help you find it. You fill a large plastic bucket up with warm water put all brushes rollers combs anything with hair in it that you wish to clean and sanitize in the bucket for about 2-4 hours rinse and viola done. Hairstylist way. Have a good one.
get a comb, comb the brush and wash the brush
Take hand. Grab hair. Pull hair out of brush. Continue until there is no more hair in the brush.
Well ,what you do is get a strong comb, on each side, slide the comb underneath like a shovel , pull up , repeat for each side , the front ,sides, and back

,the hair will then be as if it were lifted toward the top of th e bristles, then you get a towel paper and grab all of it at the same time and wallla!
use a comb to remove the hair buy ';combing'; the brush. then soak it in the sink for a couple of hours in warm water.
You can use a comb or another brush to get the hair out, then wash it and let it dry overnight. It's amazing the amount of hair that gets tangled up in these things, huh! When you brush your hair with your newly cleaned hairbrush... it's gonna feel so much better. Enjoy!!!!
Take out the chunks of hair from your brush first, then put it in Hot water for 5 minutes and if you want put a lilted of some aromatic oil in the hot water for a sweat smell. Then clean it up with a paper towel and then your good to go! ^_~
Just grab and pull, that's what I do

Is my mason pearson hair brush safe for extensions?

I'm thinking of getting wavy human hair extensions, do I need an special brush for that or could I use my mason pearson? Is my mason pearson hair brush safe for extensions?
only one way to find outIs my mason pearson hair brush safe for extensions?
    depends,

are you talking about the clip ins?

If you are talking bout brushing CLIP INS, when they aren't in your hair, then you can pretty much brush with anything

and i'd say certainly mason pearson coz that is a great brand.

If you mean semi permanent extensions then be very careful and delicate when using a brush as you might pull out the weft/microrings.
I think you need to use the new fat or phat finger hair brushes that have wide bristles, because it is like finger combing your hair. Which is less likely to tangle or annoy the hair. Boots if you live in the Uk have a good selection of brushes such as Denman, Kent.

    hope this helps.
thats fine i would say but be sure not to brush too close to where the extentions attach

    Thinning hair brushes?

i have thick hair, and sometimes its really unmanagable. Is there any scissors or brushes that can make my hair a bit thinner?Thinning hair brushes?
It's really bad to get your hair thinned because all they do is split your hair (that's how it gets thinner) But if you want to thin it then go to a salon/hair cutting place/whatever you call it and ask them to thin it for you.Thinning hair brushes?
trust me you d not want to make your hair thin. when your older if u have thin hair u are very likely to go bald. but if u have thick hair then you wont go bald. try washing your hair to make it more mangagable

And I thought the backcombed, beehive, messed up and screwed up thing was in right now... blimey and here's me, stroking my hair piece with a wire brush just to get that 'lived in, flea-bitten look' and wearing my older grannie outfits just to look glam

And just why would we want uber groomed, fake tanned, fake everything on tele? She seems like the only act who has stuck to her own image and not given a damn. She's only 17/18? so I think people should celebrate her independent style rather than force her to be a celebrity clone.

At least she looks like she showers. Ther are some singers who look like they've been living in a skip for a week and need a damn good scrub.
The Messy Look Is In This Winter, As It Draws Attention Away From Dry Hair, And Saves a lot Of Time.

Do we expect the women of this world to be glamed up and fake taned, NO WE DON'T!

leave her alone, she is different! i like her.

Iike messy hair, as long as it is to messy :)

    No she isn't.

Also, she appears to be unable to enunciate 'you'. (I hear 'chew') and has a facial stroking fixation.
    Apparently not.
That girl drives me insane, with her hair and her miss pronunciation of words.
    lol

i dont think shes even aware that theres something called a hair brush
your right id love to take her to the barbers get the hair combed out and given a good tidy bob haircut
i completely agree, she also likes stroking her face.
she is because she back combs her hair and it's got nothing to do with you anyway so just mind your own......

How can I get rid of that disgusting hair buildup from around the prongs of my hair brush?

I just pull out the hair and wash them with my favorite shampoo. Sometimes I put some conditioner on them and rinse that out. It seems to help some with the static. How can I clean my hair brush?
First, clean the hair out of it with a comb, rake it back and forth. Then, take dishsoap and another hair-free dirty brush and scrub them together with hot water and dish soap. After that, rinse them, and dip them into alcohol. Rinse them again and let them dry. Hope this helps!
Soak it in water and remove the hair with a plastic fork, then put it in the dishwasher haha thats what my mom does and it works :]
Try raking a comb across the bristles to get the hair out, then maybe soak it in hot water with shampoo or soap - another way might be after you get the excess hair out to put it in the dishwasher on the top shelf and run it through. Also check out the website below.
    pull the little spikes out.
I just pull the hair out with a comb and throw my brushes in the dishwasher with the dishes -- that hot water and strong detergent cleans them like new!
shampoo , soak in shampoo water, brush the hair out with another brush.
Pull out all of the hair and then wash the brush with soap and water and let it air dry. The site also gives other advice.

  • How does one get off dried on hairspray off a hair brush or curling iron?

soak in a jug of boiling hot water with a touch of washing up liquid always works for me leave to soak a few hours first....How does one get off dried on hairspray off a hair brush or curling iron?
When you are washing your hair wash your brush and comb with your shampoo. How does one get off dried on hairspray off a hair brush or curling iron?
Use a cloth and water it will take it off
    rubbing alcohol and hot water
scrape it off, or use a warm washcloth and wipe it off.
scrap it off the curling iron and the brush maybe harder to do this. Throw it out and buy a new one.
I have found that you may be able to use more of the hairspray to remove it from the brush and iron. Basically, liberally spray the item with the hair spray and scrub it with a good thick paper towel. This works with some paints and glues, it may work with the iron and brush.

I hope this helps. Good luck.
Try soaking the brush, pulling all the hair out, and using a toothpick or something similar in size to scrape off the hairspray.

For the curling iron, take a damp (not dripping!) paper towel and rub at it until it comes off. (make sure the curling iron is cold!)

If that doesnt work, heat up the curling iron, take a thick cotton towel, and rub it. It shouldn't burn the towel if you keep it moving, just don't leave it sitting on a certain part of the towel for more then a few seconds!
    Rubbing alcohol

    wash with warm water
Shampoo...it works for your hair, doesn't it? Take it into the shower with you.

How to install hair brushes in to photoshop 7.0 or later?

There are a couple of ways you can do this, depending on how familiar you are with Photoshop.

Open up the archives you've recieved the burshes in (until you're left with a pile of *.abr files), and then copy those files into Photoshop/Presets/Brushes.

Restart Photoshop and your brushes should show up.

The other way you can do this is from within Photoshop itself, via the small triangle at the top right hand side of the brushes window. Click on this and you'll then be able to surf to where you've got the abr files lying and add them that way.

Does hair brush really makes a difference or all are the same?

I just bought a very expensive hair brush from a drug store and it says on it ';Styling and Therauptic brush';. ';Infused with JoJoba Oils'; to promote shine and reduce flakiness. This is my very first time trying out such an expensive product. My question is does it matter what type of hair brush I use for my scalp. Does hair brush can really make a difference.

thanksDoes hair brush really makes a difference or all are the same?
Trust me, a brush's bristle does make a difference. I have thick and very wavy to curly hair so I can't use those hard brushes with hard bristles but when my hair was straight when I was young I used a natural boar's hair brush that was stiff enough to go through my hair without pulling and breaking it. I don't quite understand how a brush or its bristles can be infused and if it was possible how long would it last before having to buy a new one?Does hair brush really makes a difference or all are the same?
Some brushes go with different hair (curly, thin etc.)

Some brushes reduce breaking and damage, but i dont think a hair brush can have to much oil in it
It matters in the sense of how thick, or thin your hair is. Is it oily or dry. Do you want to blow dry it straight, etc........ I have one from Sally's that I can't live without. The main reason for that is I am used to it and would feel awkward with any other brush. As far as price goes, it doesn't matter for brushes. Remember the cosmetics/hair care industry DO NOT have to back up or prove any ridiculous claims that they make.
it depends do u notice a difference?
yes a hair brush makes a difference
For the most part, no, but there are some exeptions I can think of.

The teeth (or bristles) can make a difference with texture. Also If you have thick hair you don't want one that will pull a lot and cause split ends.

When styling your hair you want to use different types of brushes... round for volume and curling, one with holes in the back to dry straight.
No any brand is fine, but a circular brush can make Ur hair puff up!

  • Is there a special kind of hair brush I can use that's good for tangles and sensitive scalp?

My daughter has a very sensitive scalp and i'm having a hard time brushing her hair. We've tried EVERYTHING!!! Sprays and new shampoos. Is there a special kind of hair brush I can use that's good for tangles and sensitive scalp?
Raincry makes a good Detangling Paddle Brush. It comes in a regular size and a travel size

Take look at their site http://www.raincry.comIs there a special kind of hair brush I can use that's good for tangles and sensitive scalp?
Their's a detangler comb you can get at Sally's, But an easier way to get the tangles out is Section your daughters hair, and start from the bottom of the tangles, before you start put in some Leave in Conditioner or a Spray in Conditioner...

The detangler combs look like this:

    http://www.cachebeauty.com/mebco_detangl鈥?/a>

    or this

    http://www.beautydeals.net/shop/images/1鈥?/a>
i would say a good size comb or and one of those big paddle brushes. also try using johnson and johnson no more tangles spray that works for me and actually the only thing that works for me with my tangles. you can always also ask your doctor or a good spa/hair salon. goodluck!!
Mason And Pearson hairbrushes are really good.

Where can I find history or information on an antique silver hair brush from 1904?

I went to a flea market today and a gentleman who was selling computer things gave me a silver antique hair brush, and the only thing on the hair brush it said was ';Quadruple Plate Pat June 14, 1904';. It also has a beautiful flower design on it. Where could I find more information on the history of it?Where can I find history or information on an antique silver hair brush from 1904?
Quadtriple plate means it is heavy silver plate. The Patent date simply means it was registered on that date at the Patent Office in Washington, DC. There are many books out on Silver and Silver plate items. Some have makers marks and some don't. Value will to a great degree depend on condition. A set in its original box will of course be more valuable but how often do you find that! My suggestion would be to check your local library for any info you can find on it and then decide if you plan to keep it or sell it. If you are going to sell then look in the local shops to see what they are selling for and then online for the same. This will help you to see condition and selling price averages in your area and across the web.Where can I find history or information on an antique silver hair brush from 1904?
Hello, You might try Antique road show, you may need to google it. Or ebay, Auction houses that sell antiques for similar items being sold.It is plated with silver? Pat means it is patented in 1904, may not be the date it was manufactured. Does it have any other markings or initials? If you find any you can research the letters or symbols. If it were with a comb or original box would be worth more. You could also go the the library and check out book of antiques.Good Luck, Nana

What does getting your hair brushed or played with feel like to you?

The reason I ask is because ever since I can remember I have gone out of my way (including paying my kids and grandkids) to do my hair because it honestly is most wonderful feeling I have ever had. Sometimes I come close to falling asleep...lol I wish someone would make a hair salon just for that :)What does getting your hair brushed or played with feel like to you?
yeahh i totally know what you mean!!

its a nice calm but tickly feeling~its hard to explain...

i've come close to falling asleep when my mum brushed my hair for ages too! What does getting your hair brushed or played with feel like to you?
    Ohh!

    Me too!

Once my aunt was just brushing and then she would scrunch it in her hands ( because I have curly hair.) I almost fell asleep. :)

People go so softly on my hair because I have a lot of tangles and they think they will hurt me.

Oh, just thinking about it makes me tired :P
    I love it!

It just kinda tickles and feels good! I WANT to fall asleep when people are doing it to me.

And it kinda feels like the person doing it for me loves me because in a way I feel like they're showing affection and care to me.
    sexual :)

in a wierd way lol. it feels nice. the hair on the back of my neck stands up sometimes. its nice to have your hair brushed by someone else.
i like it, it calms me.

    Hair brushes?

I'm looking for a special brush, more like a brush size bed of nails, used to straighten out loose weave hair, after washihg %26amp; drying it. Can anybody help?Hair brushes?
It may seem strange but try a metal dog grooming brush (a new brush only). We buy a lot of weave pony tails and this always works after we wash them.Hair brushes?
have you tried a beauty supply store? We have Sally's (a chain) here; but there are many others.

    Good Luck!
For straight hair, use a paddle brush which is flat and wide, is best for brushing out long hair and for creating straight, smooth styles Think of a classic one-length style. It also gives you a mini scalp massage. Because of its size and shape, don't use this brush to style layers. It'll never add volume, which is what layers are for.

Can you take a hair brush through carry on luggage on an airplane?

It's an average size hair brush. Can you take a hair brush through carry on luggage on an airplane?
Yes, the only items that fit into this category that would be forbidden would be items that could be used as a weapon (i.e. long sharp handles on some combs or scissor blades). A standard hairbrush would pose no problem. If you want to check the full list the website address is:

My dog recently ate 13 bristles off my wife's hair brush. Any idea how long until they pass?

We had her in to the vet today for xrays and the vet thinks one is starting to pass but wants a second xray in a week or so to look for progress. He talked about referring us to a specialist but was not sure if they could even find them with a scope.

My dog is pretty lethargic lately and my guess now I think we know why.

She is a 7 month old pure lab.My dog recently ate 13 bristles off my wife's hair brush. Any idea how long until they pass?
Ahhh always getting into trouble, arent they!!

When my dogs eat stuff they aren't supposed to, they usually end up throwing it up a few hours later. but by now i'm sure your dog has digested it, since she is so large. I have a pom and a min pin so they will throw it up quicker than it can digest. I would keep an eye on your dog every time she poops to see if it passed, it should be soon otherwise there is a problem.

As for now, she's probably lethargic due to her tummy ache. She probably didn't learn her lesson unfortunately! : )My dog recently ate 13 bristles off my wife's hair brush. Any idea how long until they pass?
Yes welcome to the wonderful world of Labrador Retrievers! We have a 2 year old black lab and in his carrier he has eaten the following:

1 finger pricker for people that check their blood sugar, it has a cartridge of five needles inside, all of which came out...

    1 glass hurricane globe

    An unknown amount of underwear

1 Verizon bill with check inside

$60 in an envelope (that was put down as a loss)

1 rubber squeaky ball the size of a tennis ball (regurgitated six months later)

about a million and a half rolls of toilet paper

Facial scrubs (these had to be surgically removed)

Just give your dog some time to pass them through. It really sounds like you guys are on top of things and are doing the right thing. Just trust in your vet and if you notice any dramatic changes in your dog then call his doctor and let them know.

  • How Do You Get The Static Out Of Your Hair Brush?

when ever i use my hair brush it make static nosies and my hair is all staticie after that. how do i get rid of that? How Do You Get The Static Out Of Your Hair Brush?
Lightly spray it with hair spray. How Do You Get The Static Out Of Your Hair Brush?
    1. Wet your brush

    2. Use static guard

    3. Get a new brush
Try Static Guard--just one little spray on your hairbrush. Also works great on synthetics that cling and stick to your skin.
put one of those static cloths on your brush.....my friend does it.
Spray it with leave in conditioner. Good for your hair as well as your brush. Don't use ';Static Guard';. Not good for your hair...
spray just alittle anti-static spray for fabric on it.or you can rub a dryer sheet on it.
youu should wash the brush and then put on gel or hairspray works for me =D GOOD LUCK

    -Mz.Cherriez
You could probably try alittle hair spray, but they also have brushes that are Anti-Static. They have them at a Sallys Beauty supply store, maybe you want to check into that.
First off static is caused by a lack of moisture in the hair... try putting on a moisturizing product on like a frizz ease serum to hair.... it works for my hair.
Spray a little hair spray on it or static quard. That is what I do........Good luck
rub it with a used dryer sheet
Dryer Sheet! I also rub my hands on one and then through my hair when it gets staticy- keep one in my purse :)
Spray Static Guard in it and then bang the brush against something to get all of the excess off. It works.
Usually spraying a defrizzing solution to the brush helps, and it won't leave your hair too funky compared to directly spraying to dry hair.
Get another brush or brush your hair when it's wet. You could also use a comb.
    wash it in the dishwasher

What is the best way to clean a boar bristle hair brush?

Treat a natural bristle brush as you would your own hair... well kind of like it. When your brush starts looking dirty, it's time to clean it.

Use a comb to remove any hair that is caught in the brush. Fill the sink with warm water, add a little of your shampoo, and swish the brush around in the water. Alternately, you could put some shampoo in your hand, work up a thick lather, and then gently massage the lather thru the bristles. If necessary you can use another hair brush, or old toothbrush, to scrub thru the bristles. Rinse well with cool water. Shake the excess water from the brush and allow it to air dry on the counter. What is the best way to clean a boar bristle hair brush?
In the salon we use Quats.....at home I use shampoo and another hairbrush and rub the bristles together....What is the best way to clean a boar bristle hair brush?
Just use a mild shampoo in a basin warm water and make a lather using the brush that way you dissolve or the grease and gunk if you wash hair brush once a week you wont get to much of a build up on the bristles.

What's the easiest way to remove the dirt that sticks to my hair brush?

....the one that sticks to the bristles. What's the easiest way to remove the dirt that sticks to my hair brush?
I sew my hairbrush into a pillow case and throw it into a 60 degree wash to kill all the germs. When it's clean, I use a comb to comb out all the hair and bits in it. I give it a rinse and leave to dry.

This method is not suitable for wooden handled brushes. What's the easiest way to remove the dirt that sticks to my hair brush?
Use a brush like a nail brush and detergent. Brush it well and allow to dry. Make sure that you rinse it well before you allow it to dry.
Put some hot water into the basin and soak your brush...squirt some shampoo on the bristles and scrub with a nail brush or similar, rinse...allow to dry.

What is the best round vented hair brush?

What is the best round vented hair brush for straight hair? What is the best round vented hair brush?
The best round vented hair brush is the Brushlab Ceramic Flow Thermal Round Barrel Hair Brush. The hair brush helps create and reduce frizz. Its round aerated barrel allows air to flow through the brush instead of bouncing off and blowing hair away from the brush. The entire barrel is ceramic and produces uniform heat quickly. The short, stiff bristles are treated with tourmaline to help break up moisture molecules and help destroy odor-causing bacteria.

How to clean a hair brush?

I wanted to buy a regular plastic hair brush and wanted to clean it. How?How to clean a hair brush?
Fill your sink with hot water and soap, then soak the brush for an hour or longer, then air dry. It's really your choice how long you soak it, but I do mine for an hour. How to clean a hair brush?
Remove hair from your hair brush first, then just soak the brush in soapy water. You don't need to use any special sanitizers sense the brush is only used by you. Do this on a regular basis so your brush won't have a chance to get that ugly build-up from hair products.

    Hope this helps
you can fill a pan up of water and boil it and then stick your brush into it and add soap or something if you really want to
    Pull the hair.

You can use hot water with soap or just rubbing alcohol with a cloth.
Dishwasher after you pull out hair and rinse in soapy water.
Wash it with soap and water and pull the hairs out.

You can. Though hydrogen peroxide may discolor the materials. You can also use plain white vinegar. Whatever you choose, remove the loose hair from it first, and soak it over night. Rinse it in hot water the next morning. Yay, clean brush!
get all of the hair out of it and throw it in the washer,(with clothes) blow dry it with a blow dryer to kill the bacteria, clean brush

How to clean makeup and hair brush?

Can I just soak that in hot water or do I use something special for my brush? How to clean makeup and hair brush?
Your makeup brushes can be washed using a brush cleaner or baby shampoo/body wash. Just wet the brush, squirt some in your hand, and rub the brush in circles. Rinse, then let dry overnight. Mascara, you might as well toss the wand, because the water will cling to your brush and dilute your mascara. For your hair brush, use a comb to get all the hair out, soak in hot water, and let dry overnight.

  • Does anyone know where to get a good hair brush?

I keep buying different brushes but they all seem to split the ends of my hair after several uses. I have very thin, fine hair and am trying to grow it out. I don't want to keep getting trims to get rid of all my split ends. Any suggestions?Does anyone know where to get a good hair brush?
Go with a natural boar hair bristle brush for dry hair styling, and a detangling brush for wet or damp hair. If you go somewhere like Sally Beauty, an Aveda shop, or a Trade Secret or Regis Salon, you should be able to get advice about the type of brush you need from either a stylist or someone who works there. Just make sure that you are not using a 'brushy' brush on wet hair - that might be what is breaking the ends. You should use a comb or detangling brush on wet hair.

Good luck!Does anyone know where to get a good hair brush?
The only advice I can give you is to look on the web for some of the higher-end, more expensive hairbrushes. I spent years looking for a decent brush that could deal with my fine, easily tangled but very thick hair without feeling like it was taking all the skin off my head. By the time I could ';break in'; a drugstore brush to where it didn't hurt to use it, the handle would snap off in my hand. :o( (Did I mention my hair is *really* thick???)

Anyway, I finally found a good brush last year on a trip overseas, at what we in the US would probably call an apothecary shop. I spent about $35 US for it, but it was well worth it. It's a mixture of boar bristle and plastic, with a solid wood base and handle.

On a side note, to help with split ends try using a thick, restorative conditioner (for me, Aussie 3 Minute Miracle has worked well), but only on the last 3-4 inches of the hair. Fine hair gets ';gooped up'; really easily, so you don't need it on the rest of you hair, but a bit on the ends will help.

    Good luck!
Hmm... maybe you should go to a salon and ask them.
When WAS your last trim? Are you using too much heat? Do you use a thermal heat protection mist? Try boar bristle brushes when smoothing hair. I have a feeling it is not the brush- it is one or several of the things above. Best of luck.

How do I clean my comb and my hair brush?

I've tried soaking them in water after I've pulled all the hair out, but it doesn't get it clean. I've got a dandruff problem, and I need to keep both clean at all times. So I was wondering how u'd get gunk out of those hair utensils. Honest help, thanks. I mean, how would u scrape gunk out of those tiny areas in a brush and a comb? How do I clean my comb and my hair brush?
boil them for about 5 min it will clean and sanitize them.every thing will come out.How do I clean my comb and my hair brush?
just put them in a pot of boiling water

it will clean them right up

How do I sterilize hair brushes??? Plz help.?

I just found out that my 2 1/2 yr old...soon to be step child has ring worm of the scalp...after I've used my bruses and combs on her. Any suggestions on how to sterilize them. Not wash them w/ soap but really sterilize them??How do I sterilize hair brushes??? Plz help.?
You can use barbicide plus. Make sure it is the PLUS and not regular barbicide. You may be able to get it at sally's, not sure though. It is, germicidal, fungicidal, virucidal, pseudomonacidal. It is also effective against bloodborne pathogens, ringworm and staph. You have to dilute it with water, the directions should come with it. Good luck. How do I sterilize hair brushes??? Plz help.?
The old school way was when the barber used to put his tools in a jar full of alcohol. Wash them is warm soapy water, remove all the hair in them and soak in alcohol. Rinse before using and return to the jar after each use and you should be fine.
Throw it away and just buy another one. Or boil some water and but into a bowl that you dont use for food, pour the water into the bowl and put your brush in their and alcohol. not a lot of alcohol.

soak as long as you feel better.

    15 yr stylist

you could also just buy you another one and keep it in your purse as i do.
there is a product you can buy in your local beauty supply shop like ';sally's'; it is a powder brush cleaner you mix w' water and soak your brushes in ask the sales girl i donot remember the name
use brush delight or ship shape, they both can be purchased at sally beauty.
    Boil them.
I boil my hairbrushes in water. The hot water kills stuff off.

My grandmother was a hairdresser, she used a solution she bought at the beauty supply store. When I asked what I could do at home, she told me about the boiling water.

I hope you are able to help her out.

    Good luck Hon!

What type of hair brush is best for curly hair?

Like between boar bristle and synthetic, or types like paddle brushes and those round weird ones . . .What type of hair brush is best for curly hair?
It maybe wise to use an Pro Nylon Hairbrush.

Wavy and curly hair may also be frizzy at times when it is dry brushed, using a wide tooth comb can help avoid frizzy or flyaway hair. A plastic wide-tooth comb is perfect for de-tangling curly hair, also This is the original patented vent brush made from hard rubber. Rubber tines wear evenly and will not split at the ends which can break and pull hair. What type of hair brush is best for curly hair?
honestly, people with curly hair really shouldn't use a brush. It just creates frizz. Comb your hair when it's wet (towel-dried), put some product in it and let it air dry. I have naturally curly hair and that is the best way for me to get it to look right.
synthetic with round nubs on the end - bristles spaced (not to closely)

when brushing make sure you get to your roots to bring up the oil from your scalp.
actually i was told by my hair stylist not to use a brush at all my daughter has very curly hair and to use a wide tooth comb

and use a leave in conditioner like infusium23 to help with any tangles or use pink lotion found in the ethnic section of the hair product aisle

    best of luck

Can american girl dolls use wig hair brushes?

i read on americangirl.com that they use wig hair brushes so what do u think Can american girl dolls use wig hair brushes?
If you are trying to get the tangles out do what they do at the American Girl Place and use a spray bottle of water as a detangler with a rat tail comb. Start at the ends of the hair and work your way to the roots. I was surprised when I asked and they said it was water in the spray bottles. Can american girl dolls use wig hair brushes?
yeah ur actually supposed to use wig brushes...idk i used regular brushes for mine when i was little and the doll was fine.
well i guess its fine if thats what the website says.

i dont really understand your question sorry.

    how old are you? lol.
what are you talking about! no idea
    yes

How can I keep my hair brush clean?

Is there something I could use to make free of dirt and grease and stuff? Because I really don't see a a point in buying another Hairbrush. How can I keep my hair brush clean?
Wash it in wine vinegar, in fact, any vinegar. Vinegar is a natural disinfectant. How can I keep my hair brush clean?
take all the hirs out then clean it with shampooa nd tooth brush tooth. tooth brush will take all the dirt out
Clean it after every use with shampoo and warm water.
clean it its as easy as that !!!!!!!
    you're kidding right?

comb the hair out of it after each use.

once a week or more often if you don't wash your hair daily or if you use gels and sprays- wash the freaking brush! use shampoo lather it with fingers and rinse thoroughly with running water. shake to dry and air dry over night.
If its a Denman, pull the hair off, slide the red rubber thing off the handle, pop the plastic bristles out and put it all (apart from the hair) in a sink full of hot soapy water and swish around a bit.
get all the hair out and wash it in warm soapy water.
Well you have 2 brush it and 2 keep it clean get a bath and that
Wash it in the sink in warm water and shampoo!
if you dont like dirt and stuff in your hair then you could try spraying dry shampoo on your hairbrush its like washing your hair while your brushing...i mean without getting wet.

try it you'll see boots have some stuff thats good.

I find this amazing %26amp; yet people hardly mention it as a way of 'treating' a girl! I also love it, when I get yr emails - however, I haven't been getting texts from loved 1's lately and don't know what to do about that. How many of you love to have your hair brushed to soothe you?
First o all, LOVE the playing with her hair, and her playing with mine!!! Very sensual on both accounts.

Secondly, try sending them a text simply stating- 'where ya been- did you erase my contact information stranger?'How many of you love to have your hair brushed to soothe you?
I used to like it until one day the hands

were those of a terrified prisoner of war.

I've moved on to daily shaved baldness.
When I was little I used to play that trick on girls ... I would run the brush through their hair a few times, and then give it a really hard YANK. I would be long gone before the teacher came running ... hehe ...

not into having my hair brushed - guess that's a girl thing

    Glad you're relaxing a bit.
i like when my mom smooths my hair back, it feels really nice=]

What are the rights of a child concerning hair brushing?

Does a child have the right to refuse to brush her hair or let a parent brush it, so that it becomes a tangled mess of dreadlocks. What are the rights of a child concerning hair brushing?
This could be an interesting question if it ever became a legal issue; would a parent have a right to forcibly brush, cut or style the hair of a fifteen year old? I would say definitely not, because a 15 year is not a child, but a 5 year old would not know what was best for him or her. What are the rights of a child concerning hair brushing?
Im not sure about the rights or the child but when my little sister was younger she used to hate having her hair brushed because its quite long and curly and tangles a lot but we discovered that if we made it into a game like hairdressers where she would do my hair and then I would do hers she was more likely to let me brush it. Its not ideal for when you are in a rush but gradually she has become used to having her hair done and we have far fewer problems now.
most children usually are defiant to parents. you want them to do one thing they do another and it varies throughout age. on your question your daughter or son is probably 8 or 9. No they don'tt have a right in the way they want their hair if your their legal guardiann its youresponsibilityty to make sure they are clean and appropriate for school or if they are going to be taken out into public. although if their going to school they usually go into the bathroom and change their hair style the way they want it. so really its disciplinaryry issue.
If its a child (under 16) then none i guess. a parent has the right to set standards and to enforce them if they are not being upheld. If my daughter tried that with me her father would take over and she does not like that coz he doesn't care if she cries or not!! (though he does do it gently, and she likes to make out it hurts when it doesn't coz were holding her hair in a ponytail so it does not get pulled)
uhh....idk. but i don't brush my hair because no matter how hard i try it won't knot and get messy....but by mom or granny used to brush it and i let them...even though i usually took a LONG time coz i would yell and scream that they hurt me...oh well i turned out kinda ok...i guess.

    :)
    How old is the child?

If the child is still under parental care, then no she has no right.
    I suppose it depends on the age of the ';child';

How do you make your American Girl's hair brushed without pulling her hair out?

I need to brush my American Girl doll's air but I think that her hair might fall out. WHAT SHOULD I DO?How do you make your American Girl's hair brushed without pulling her hair out?
there are special brushes that cost quite a bit of money but if you want to save some $ then you could just use little kids hair brush like the ones that save no tangles that you brush and the points draw in so it dosent poke you're head? and if not then just use a travel brush small and brush softly and smoothly so it brushes really well!!! and maybe use a comb when you bet most of the knots out and if there is a little hair coming out chill just brush lighterHow do you make your American Girl's hair brushed without pulling her hair out?
For some reason you're not supposed to use a brush with plastic bristles. It has to be metal. American girl sells one for $7 or you can go to Walmart in the pet department and get one that's meant for dogs. They are about $4.

I'm guessing a beauty supply may carry them as well.

Once you have the right brush then just brush it. It's rooted in there very well. For $100 a doll it should be!

Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?

I've recently bought a TreSemme brush... expensive but it'll last.Hair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?
Dont use a brush for your hair..use a wide toothed comd made of wood. Plastic combs cause static and breakage in hair..brushes cause major hair breakage (do not confuse with hair fall) plus long hair shd be combed starting from below..detangling then slowly go upHair brushes - which is the best make for long hair?
mmm well i use a paddle brush! always and wide tooth comb!
After you get out of the shower, use a wide toothed comb.

Once your hair is dry, use brushes with natural bristles, such as natural boar bristles, they stimulate the oil glands in your hair which makes your hair shiny, and also stimulates growth.

well to remove hair you should use a tight tooth comb, to actually clean it, take it in the shower with you and shampoo it and condition it. sounds nuts but the shampoo will clean it and the conditioner will help your hair with shine when you brush it..What is the best way to clean a hard bristle hair brush?
    boil it for 25 minutes.
Hot water and a comb. If that doesn't work go to dollar tree and get a nwew one for a dollar.
    hot water
Scrub it with a comb in hot soapy water.

Hot water...not boiling. Too hot and

    the brush will become brittle.

Then rinse it with hot vinegar water.

    Then with hot clear water.

It will be clean as a whistle...........

Hair brushes aren't for teasing hair. You need a ';teasing comb';. They have very fine teeth to tease much better than a brush. Google it for the different kinds.

Like you said pull the hair out and I throw mine when I do a load of laundry... like jeans... something that the hairbrush wouldn't snag... I have even done ones from my beauty shop that way but I do have to sanitize them before use.

Hope this helped:-)))How are you supposed to wash your hair brush?
Take a plug and plug your sink.

Fill the sink with hot water.

Pour a couple drops of shampoo.

Use your hairbrush and stir the water so it is bubbly.

Dip the hairbrush in the water.

    Wait 30 minutes.

    Unplug the plug.

Take out any hair that is left on the hairbrush. The shampoo and hot water should have loosened any hairs.

    Rinse with cool water.

    There you go- completely clean!

You can also do this in a large bowl
    your doing it right,

take a comb and run it threw the brush to get hair out then soak the brushes in warm water and shampoo(the shampoo makes the brush smell great) over night .

do this once a week :)

Essentially a Crew Cut or Ivy League. Styles that complement most guys. A control wax like Krew Comb or Lucky Tiger Cru-Butch works better than gel because it does not set up a stiff hold that is broken if the hair is disturbed. Therefore the hair can be combed, brushed and tousled as much as one wants and then just brushed back into position.
    DON'T DO IT!

I had a boyfriend with that hairstyle once, and he looked like John Travolta from Grease. You need a shitload of grease to try to do what your doing and you'll look like a mobster (he was really italian so he looked like a mobster lmao).

For the love of God, don't do it!
totally hot totally stylish i have really pretty (chrome/silver since like 20) hair I have had it long short shaved...you name it, but the haircut you described get the most compliments and is a pretty timeless look

What do you find is the best cleanser for brushes and combs? How often do you clean your hair brush?

in the salon we have to clean it after every use to not spread desease. the same should hold true for your brush at home!
Who the cleans their hairbrush? personnally i use a plastic comb. When I'm done I just throw it out and buy a new one. Or find one somewhere else.
Not enough- but a friend taught me you can throw it in the dish washer after removing the hair to get all the lint out of it to make it look and feel brandnew.
Well i do it when i wash me hair about about every week
I think it is recommeded to be cleaned at least once a week but i clean mine about every two to three days just because I can't stand to think about anything that got into it in my drawer.

What is the best hair brush for a Long Haired Dachshund for home use?

    Hi,

I need a few recommendations as to what you think is the best brush to use for a Long Haired Dachshund. Need name of brush, model number if applicable.

I'm actually asking for someone else. Neither of us are professional groomers but we both have dachshunds. Friend needs a good brush. Mine is short haired so I don't need brush.

Thx!What is the best hair brush for a Long Haired Dachshund for home use?
For a longhaired dachshund, the best type of brush would be what is called a pin brush. No need for model numbers, there are a lot of different ones on the market from cheap ones to very expensive professional ones. The only ones that I would avoid would be the ones that have the pins on one side and a regular bristle brush on the other side.

The pin brush will help remove the dead undercoat and will do a good job of keeping the coat mat free. It will also help disperse the natural oils throughout the coat. The coat will need to be brushed on a regular basis, every couple of days at the least, to prevent matting. Also, if the dog gets muddy, let him dry and then brush with the pin brush and there will likely be no need to bathe the dog.

As someone has already stated, even a smooth coated dachshund needs to have some coat care. There are rubber groomers with short rubber teeth that are perfect for keeping a smooth coat in condition. These are like rubber curry combs and are great for massaging the skin, loosening dirt and removing it, and dispersing the natural oils. You can also find grooming gloves which do much of the same thing while you just give your dog a vigorous petting. Your smooth dachshund will have a much nicer coat and be healthier if you pay some attention to his coat on a regular basis.

Good luck. What is the best hair brush for a Long Haired Dachshund for home use?
Even short haired dogs need brushed every once in a while. :) You'd be amazed at how his coat will shine after a good brushing.

A brush I recommend is the slicker brush. And another I recommend is the furminator. You can look reviews up on google. :)
for dachshunds is the best that hairbrush also for small dogs like yorkie! I recommand!

I have short hair in the back, but my hair longer around my ears and I have bangs. What kind of hair brush should I buy to style my hair straight? What hair brush is ideal for short hair with longer layers/hair on top and bangs?
A large round brush. Why? So that you can style your hair easier and faster and so that you can brush your hair under and brush your hair in a flip style while styling. What hair brush is ideal for short hair with longer layers/hair on top and bangs?
A round brush to smooth it out and then you can flip it in or out
A round brush to be able to smooth the top part and flip ends out or under. Or a paddle brush to smooth it all. I have shoulder length layered hair with side-bangs and I use a paddle brush to style my hair.

Consult your doctor or dermatologist to see if they are right for you.

  • What type of hair brush should you use if you have curly/wavy hair?

I need a hairbrush that won't brush away my curls and won't make my hair frizzy. I have long hair, and do not straighten my hair. What type of hair brush should you use if you have curly/wavy hair?
Ya use a comb. All the brush will do is frizz your hair. (Natruly curly hair)What type of hair brush should you use if you have curly/wavy hair?
Try a Mason Pearson hairbrush. They are a little pricy, but they leave your hair straight, silky, and smooth. Probably one of the best items to invest in. Trust me i have frizzy hair, and when i brush with it, it leaves my hair so nice! My friends ask me what straightener i use.
use a BIG tooth comb somewhat like this

    http://i.ehow.com/images/GlobalPhoto/Articles/4502959/j0337371_Full.jpg
You should never use a brush on wavy/curly hair as this will damage and break the hair. You should be using a comb. A wide tooth comb depending on how curly you are talking.
use a comb. i have curly hair too and i only comb it when its wet.
    not a brush.

    a comb :)
i would use a pick. its alot less harsh on your hair.

What is the best round hair brush to use on fine hair to add volume?

I dry my hair with a hair dryer and small round brush. My hair is always flat. I want a brush that will help add volume when I dry my hair. I would also like suggestions for products/hair spray that will help with this also. What is the best round hair brush to use on fine hair to add volume?
I like tigi products....root boost is good for lifting the hair off the scalp. If you want volume, you need to turn your head upside down and dry the hair at your scalp and mid way through the shaft of the hair. Get you a med to large round brush with the metal center, to finish it off....make sure that you turn your head right side up for this. Be careful though, because many of the dryers that the general public have access are really high is watts .... this means that they reall get hot, and with the metal brush you can burn your hair if you are not constantly moving the air. If you can find one more professional, that has a cool shot button, get that one, because it is the heat that softens the hair so that it will accept curl or a bend, and it is the cool air that sets it, that is why if we get stuck with doing a stinking roller set in the little old ladies, once they are dry we allow them to sit and cool so that the curls will set. It is the same principle when using a blow dryer. You can also get yourself a large barrel curling iron to tame those stray hairs and give yourself a more polished look. What is the best round hair brush to use on fine hair to add volume?
You should use a large round vented hair brush. My favorite hair brush for volume is the brushlab fresh curls hair brush. You can get it here: http://www.brushlove.com/brushlab-fresh-thermal-round-hair-brush-22501.html

Round Boar bristle brushes work really well- you can find them at Sephora. They are expensive though- at least $35- but they're worth it!What is the best hair brush on the market to dry hair sleek and straight ?

Biracial hair: blow drying and hair brushes!?

I've never been able to blow my hair straight properly. Usually I just use a comb and the blow dryer and just sort of work through it until i recently learned that a proper brush actually makes a difference so I went to buy a brush but I got so confused with all these options ceramic, anti bacterial, bristle brush, nylon brush, holes, no holes..etc!

Can someone help me please? are there any known brands? what should i look for in a brush??

thx!Biracial hair: blow drying and hair brushes!?
    i have biracial hair too

    1. i use to get it really straight is a straightening shampoo and conditioner..this really helps start off the straightening process.

    (dangerously straight by herbal essences)

    2. i then apply a straightening cream by the bran CERAMIC SILK called thermal protection in a red bottle..available at sallys..( or any other straightening cream)

    3. i then blow dry it( sectioning my hair into pieces) with a IONIC blow dryer. using a CERAMIC bristle brush.

    3. the after you've blow dryed ur hair..section it then straighten little pieces one by one..but when u do use a straightening protection spray..lol available at sallys.

it may sound like a lot but i guarantee you it will make your hair look gorgeous! in order to get the perfect hair it takes work..so follow these steps and your on ur way to perfect sleek hair.

Biracial hair: blow drying and hair brushes!?
ok well the main thing is that when your hair is wet always comb it with a comb because if you brush it with a brush then it will leave stretch marks(i know that sounds weird but yea) and you just need to blow dry your hair curved in and then out until it gets straight

sorry if this is not much help but i have hair extensions so yeah i don't blow-dry my hair much.
get a bed head flat brush... if you get a round bush and dont use it properly your going to end up with a weird bend in your hair. Just get a flat brush. Also try using Moroccan Miracle Oil Gold in your hair- it will help smooth out your frizz and make your hair super shiney

What kind of hair brush to use for frizzy curly hair?

I've been having some success with using the InStyler curling iron to tame my curly frizzy hair. However, I'm concerned about using too much heat on my hair....

Can anyone recommend a good hair brush, maybe tourmaline ceramic, or a boar bristle brush, that they found helpful in smoothing out frizzies, and imparting a lot of shine, so I don't have to use too much heat to smooth things out? Thanks so much! What kind of hair brush to use for frizzy curly hair?
i have no ideaWhat kind of hair brush to use for frizzy curly hair?
if u have frizzy curly hair, you should try to not use a brush to comb it. use ur hand, cuz the brush kinda makes it lose its body.and u should apply a serum on it
Your best bet for a brush with frizzy/curly hair isn't even a brush at all. An afro pick can get the job done pretty well - you don't have to use it to pick out your hair for poof, the wide teeth spaced pretty far make it FAR better than a traditional comb for just neatening up. I use one as a comb. It works well.
dont brush your hair while its dry it can

lead to more breakage and your hair will look Better over all it you brush it while its wet with a leave in conditioner or if you cant your hair to be Straight use a hair serum if you dont have the money dont completely wash out all of your conditionerer wash 75% of it out ..

but i have found the best brushes to be on

How to get rid of head lice in your hair brushes?

    Oh my gosh.

throw out all your hair thing in the house, head bands, hats, brushes.

get a lice kit from the drug store and meticulously go through your, and everyone in your household's heads!

    seriously.

wash ALL your bed linens and clothes, even if they are folded and clean now, you need to wash them in the HOTTEST water you can.

also, use a spray to kill the bugs and eggs on your furniture, as well as vacuuming the furniture.

lice can be SO hard to get rid of but if you clean everything perfectly the first time, you won't have to do it again!!!How to get rid of head lice in your hair brushes?
u should have all your hair brushes and combs put in some bleach soak it for a while that should do it !!!How to get rid of head lice in your hair brushes?
Head lice live on humans and don't often spread this way. A hair strand could have an egg attached which is unlike to hatch if it get cold away from a human body.

If you want to keep your brushes just pull out the hair from your brush and wash it under running warm water with a little shampoo.

This is not an INFECTION All that advice to boil stuff would apply if you were trying to kill bacteria or viral material Head lice wash of smooth plastic brushes and combs very easily.

Also, for get all that nonsense about washing bedding and stuff... complete rubbish. Please read the articles below.
Wash them with the mover or stick them into the disinfect the same kind that they use in the salon or just throw them out and buy new ones.
That should be quite easy, just wash them good in real hot water and then boil them. If still in doubt about their cleanliness douse them good with alcohol.
if you dont wwant to throw them out....try to pull out all old hair and soak them in very very hot water.
Throw them out and buy new ones
    throw them away
First Soak them in HOT Water with at least 1 cup of bleach for at least 15 minutes. Then clean them thoroughly removing all debris from the bristles. then allow them to dry and spray them with 70% rubbing alcohol. You can also purchase a disinfectant from a beauty supply store.
drown it with hair grease put bleach on them and then THROW THEM OUT!
You have to BOIL THEM for 3 minutes or more while its on boil. However if its on a plastic brush, you may as well get a new one, it may melt.
throw it away and buy a new one
Boil anything hard, like hairbrushes or clips, etc. Personally my best advice is to not take the chance and buy a new brush.
    boil them
put them in very very hot water and let them sit there over night. It may get very hot the plastic will melt a little. But thats the best way or throw them out and get new ones.
when i had lice when i was younger my mom would boil the brush to kill the lice but i would be carfule with the boiling depending on what type of brush it is
    Throw them out.
    Buy a new one!
Throw them away and replace them.
I use the lice remover for dogs on my combs. Just let them have a very long bath. :) And just washing them with water won't work. Lice don't drown.
You boil them. You don't have to throw them out.
Not sure why you need to keep them, but you can use dry heat, like from a hair blow dryer.
I dono, it should kill lice but,I clen out the sray hairs and I clean my brushes in amonia and water (dont add bleach to amonia) by filling a 1/2 and 1/2 solution in a container large enough to hold all my brushes and comes...I do this once a week as it is, but it should kill bugs....Dont forget to rince them...
buy new ones. why take the chance of getting lice again?
    Throw out all your brushes.
either buy new brushes, or soak them in bleach for a while, then wash them with hot soapy water. Not all brushes can hold up to that kind of treatment though, so good luck!
    Trash em!
put out all the hair, then leave in hot water for a while and wash with shampoo and rinse thouroghly. should work.
Garbage can and the outside one at that.

  • Are all hair brushes different?

(I don't blowdry my hair, i mean for hair that you let air dry and then brush.)

Anyways, i was looking through some cosmetic stores %26amp; beauty salons and some brushes are like $95 is it worth it to buy a brush like this? Are there any brushes out there that help prevent damage or actually improve the health of your hair?

(right now i use a a square paddle brush from a health store %26amp; i was thinking of getting a new one)Are all hair brushes different?
A cheap paddle brush is fine, don't buy one of those expensive brushes unless you are doing some crazy fancy sh-t with your hair. I have naturally thick hair that I never blow dry and while my hair was long enough to need a brush I always used the paddle brushes. Are all hair brushes different?
yes. some brushes are different, but paying 95 dollars for one brush is outrageous to me. (that is because things that beautician buy can come in bulk and supposed to be a little more stronger because it would have to endure more than just the average brush we would use) to be honst with you, sometimes I use wig brushes on my hair becasue the way the wig brush is made when i brush my hair it message my scalp and the bristles on the wig brush are different so hopefully it will minimize breakage at the ends......(that is just my theory though)...by the way my brush was only 3 bucks....lol
boar bristle brushes are really good
