well, before i started going to the hair salon to get my hair done i used to use wide- toothed brushes. my hair never tangled in them. i am constantly cutting my hair into bobs and what not as well, and when i used those types of brushes my hair would come out laying down and not all frizzy or poofy and you could still see the style in my hair. hope this helps.
