My dog recently ate 13 bristles off my wife's hair brush. Any idea how long until they pass?

We had her in to the vet today for xrays and the vet thinks one is starting to pass but wants a second xray in a week or so to look for progress. He talked about referring us to a specialist but was not sure if they could even find them with a scope.

My dog is pretty lethargic lately and my guess now I think we know why.

She is a 7 month old pure lab.My dog recently ate 13 bristles off my wife's hair brush. Any idea how long until they pass?
Ahhh always getting into trouble, arent they!!

When my dogs eat stuff they aren't supposed to, they usually end up throwing it up a few hours later. but by now i'm sure your dog has digested it, since she is so large. I have a pom and a min pin so they will throw it up quicker than it can digest. I would keep an eye on your dog every time she poops to see if it passed, it should be soon otherwise there is a problem.

As for now, she's probably lethargic due to her tummy ache. She probably didn't learn her lesson unfortunately! : )My dog recently ate 13 bristles off my wife's hair brush. Any idea how long until they pass?
Yes welcome to the wonderful world of Labrador Retrievers! We have a 2 year old black lab and in his carrier he has eaten the following:

1 finger pricker for people that check their blood sugar, it has a cartridge of five needles inside, all of which came out...

1 glass hurricane globe

An unknown amount of underwear

1 Verizon bill with check inside

$60 in an envelope (that was put down as a loss)

1 rubber squeaky ball the size of a tennis ball (regurgitated six months later)

about a million and a half rolls of toilet paper

Facial scrubs (these had to be surgically removed)

Just give your dog some time to pass them through. It really sounds like you guys are on top of things and are doing the right thing. Just trust in your vet and if you notice any dramatic changes in your dog then call his doctor and let them know.
