What is the best thing to use to clean your hair brushes with?

I soak my brushes in water then remove the stray hairs completely from them weekly. It usually gets the job done. What is the best thing to use to clean your hair brushes with?

When I want to clean my hair brushes I run a sink full of hot water and pour shampoo in it. I think it gets them clean. Hope that helped. :-) Before wash them, take out all of the hair from them. :-)
Take a comb and comb the brush towards you to get all of the hair out of the brush. (Hopefully you understand what I mean) Make sure you do this over a trash can. Get all of the stray hairs out by rinsing the brush or pulling them out yourself. Then boil some water to the point that it gets really hot. When it's at a hot temperature, turn the stove off and put the brushes in the hot water. Leave the brushes in the water until it cools. So it won't be such a buildup of hair the next time, clean your brushes regularly- every week!

HOPE THIS HELPS!
sally beauty supply stores carry a product that we use before we disinfect

Get some Barbicide from the beauty supply and follow the directions on the bottle.

Use a wide tooth comb to remove the hairs.

Use very hot water and a basin, add the Barbicide.

Soak for a while, rinse and they should be all set.

You can also use bleach but the Barbicide won't leave the combs and brushes smelling strong.
