What do different types of hair brushes do?

such as a round brush and flat brushes that are hard and soft ones..does it make a difference in the way you're hair looks and how? What do different types of hair brushes do?
There are different types of brushes for styling, depending of if you want to style your hair straight or curled. Round brushes are used while blow drying to smooth hair and curl it at the ends. Flat brushes are used for straight styles. Hard or soft depends on your own preference for feel. What do different types of hair brushes do?
i think hairbrushes make a differences let me try to explain...i use a wide tooth comb to comb my wet hair out so it does not pull my hair out...then i blow dry my hair with a bigh round brush that has hard bristles so it smooth my hair and calms down the frizz...then i straighten my hair with a flat iron while using a big wooden paddle brush for shine and frizz purposes..i couldnt live without my paddle brush...but YES hairbrushes do make a difference. go to sephora.com and under hair care it will explain different things.
flat brushes are good for styling and such, wide teeth are good for knots.

soft brushes can and will build up static in your hair, and make it frizzy. soft brushes may ';feel'; better, but it actually causes split ends faster, and they are generally very bad for your hair if u use it every day. thats why hair salons usually never use soft brushes.

i personally like these kind best -

the round brushes tend to make knots in my hair sometimes cause it gets caught all around it and stuff.

but in the end it just depends on your hair cut, your hair type, and how you style it.
ok some brushes like the round ones are good for curly hair with knots....the flat brushes are good if u have more silky hair because its easyer to brush....also some times the round ones u can use to style your hair to have a curl at the bottom to go in or out....
different things for different hair
SOME brushes like tourmaline ceramic ones or those big fat ones can help decrease dandruff.. and can also help massage the scalp for better blood circulation. or you can just massage your own head when you are in the shower..

teeth like combs can help after you take a shower, to prevent breakage n all that stuff.. also helps as a pick for afros and splitting your hair lines..
